What is an Indigo Child?

Do you realize that you are an Indigo child?" Flashback to five years ago. I was in Centralia, PA shooting a documentary with psychic Robyn Marie. I was just beginning to share my psychic abilities openly with others when she squeezed my cheeks between her hands, looked into my steely blue eyes, and uttered that question. I had no idea what she was talking about, so the minute I sat down in the car, I googled it. -Indigo child- children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities. Characterized as an "old soul," Indigos are identified by these common traits: -You were born feeling special. -You have a bold sensitivity and believe in destiny. -You have high expectations of yourself and others. -You are perceptive. -You are creative. -You are a change maker. -You question authority. The list of characteristics went on and on, also defining physical attributes like social anxieties, allergies and sensitivities to surroundings, and large, bright eyes. I was floored. Robyn had summed my life up in one question. From childhood, I knew that my mind worked differently than others. My maternal grandfather often told me stories of my great grandmother and her sisters who possessed abilities and were considered "witches" in their tiny, rural West Virginia community. He often called me by her name...Josephine. From that moment forward, I knew I had to step outside my comfort zone and nurture this gift. Through the opportunities I've had with DPX, Resident Undead, and COPS Paranormal, along with my own research, I continue to learn and grow.
